WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is sending a strong message to Iran as the conflict with Israel continues to grow. In a recent post on social media, Trump said that the United States knows exactly where Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is hiding. But for now, he said, the U.S. has decided not to strike.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding,” Trump said. “He is an easy target, but is safe there. We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles fired at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”
Trump also called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” making it clear he’s not interested in half-measures or temporary peace deals. His comments come as violence in the region grows, with Iran backing groups that have been launching attacks on Israel.

Trump Cuts G7 Trip Short, Urges Civilians to Evacuate
Trump left the G7 summit early to return to Washington for emergency talks with his national security team. At the same time, he warned the nearly 10 million people living in Tehran, Iran’s capital, to evacuate for their safety. According to Trump, the U.S. military has taken full control of the airspace over Tehran. This means the U.S. is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared to act if necessary. It’s a clear warning to Iran’s leaders: stop the attacks, or face serious consequences.

Concerns About Iran’s Nuclear Plans
Although U.S. intelligence agencies say Iran is not currently building a nuclear weapon, Trump isn’t convinced. He’s long warned that Iran can’t be trusted, and now he’s repeating that message.
“Iran can never have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said. “We need a real end to this—not just a temporary pause.”
Trump’s comments echo the views of many conservatives who believe Iran has been pushing its nuclear program behind the scenes, despite global pressure to stop.

A Tougher Approach Than the Current Administration
While leaders at the G7 summit said they agreed Iran should never get nuclear weapons and supported Israel’s right to defend itself, Trump chose not to sign the summit’s final agreement. He said it wasn’t strong enough and didn’t do enough to hold Iran accountable.
Trump’s approach is noticeably tougher than that of the current Biden administration, which has taken a more diplomatic route. Many on the right believe this softer approach has allowed Iran to grow bolder and more dangerous.

Bottom Line: America Is Watching
Trump’s message is clear: the U.S. will defend its people, its troops, and its allies. His demand for Iran’s full surrender, his warning to civilians, and his refusal to back down show that he’s ready to take action if Iran continues to escalate the situation.
At a time when the world is watching, Trump is reminding America’s enemies that strength and leadership still matter.
